AI app builders

Built your site with Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit or Cursor? Ask it to add Help. The portal gives you the words to paste into its chat, with your key filled in, and your builder does the rest.

Steps

  1. In the portal, open Sites, press Add a site and choose Built with AI. Give the address your app is published at, such as acme.lovable.app, or your own domain.
  2. On the site's Install tab, copy the words under Paste this into your AI builder. Paste them into your builder's chat and let it make the change.
  3. Publish your app, then press Check your site on the Install tab.
  4. Open your app, press Help and send yourself a message. It arrives in Tickets.

What the words ask for

Three things, and nothing else:

  1. One script tag in index.html, inside <head>, exactly as given. It carries your site's key, which is safe to show in a page, and what shows the app is yours.
  2. <db-help-launcher></db-help-launcher> once before </body>, for a Help button on every page.
  3. <db-help-form></db-help-form> on a contact or support page, if your app has one.

They also tell your builder to declare the two tags for TypeScript, and to leave the script as it is.

Never paste a secret into a builder's chat: not a site's identity secret (hsk_…), not an API key (hpk_…). A chat is kept by the builder, and the code it writes can end up in a public repository.

If the check doesn't find it

  • Publish first: we look at your published app, not the builder's preview.
  • The tag must be in index.html itself. A tag a component adds after the page opens isn't in the page we read, so ask your builder to move it there.
  • Check the address is the one your browser shows when the app is open.

Logged-in users

With the code above, everyone who writes is a guest who gives their email. If your app has its own accounts, each user can see their own tickets once your server signs a short token for them with your site's secret. That needs code on a server (an edge function, an API route), and the secret goes into your builder's settings for secrets, never into the chat. How the token is made is in Logged-in users.

Your AI assistant, after

Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can also read and answer your tickets once you connect it, on Pro and higher. See Connect your own AI.
